| Dear friends, |

| Last week we received news from Rita. |
| Victor's condition is slightly better than 1 week ago. He is able to move |
| arm and leg more actively, tries to stand up with help of a doctor. Victor |
| takes needs medications and gets physiotherapy, massage and speech therapy. |
| His doctor is in contact with Dr.Burhani of the AMC in Amsterdam to consult |
| about further rehabilitation. |
| From what she writes we understand that the stay of Victor in the hospital |
| is insured, however medication has to be paid by herself. Also Victor |
| doesn't have income now. |
|
| Though we received no direct request for support it is quite clear that the |
| Bogdanov family has a difficult time ahead. |
| As we wrote in our previous message we feel the European Go community is |
| willing and able to help. |
| Already Alexandre Dinerchtein and Guo Juan each contributed 300 euro, the |
| EGCC 500 euro and the EGF allocated 1000 euro for Rita's ticket to |
| Amsterdam, however should this be paid by the insurance this will be added |
| to the fund. |

| Tukiturnauksen tavoitteena on kerätä rahaa Viktorille. Alla olevan listan tarkoituksen on selvittää onko erilliselle turnaukselle kiinnostusta, vai tyydytäänkö siihen, että turnaus pidetään jonkin muun tapahtuman yhteydessä. Karhunpesä saadaan käyttöön ilman merkittäviä lisäkustannuksia, mutta sinne mahtuu korkeintaan 30 pelaajaa samanaikaisesti. Jos saadaan parempi tulos pitämällä turnaus muualla, niin sitten pidetään. Alustava päivämäärä olisi 27.-29.6. Turnaus voidaan järjestää joko tasoituksilla tai ilman tai molemmat. |

| Ilmoittaumislista on toistaiseksi alustava. Lista muutetaan myöhemmin sitovaksi, ja ihmisiltä pyydetään varmistus. Järjestys listalle tulee osallistumismaksun mukaan. Palkintoja on tiedossa lahjoituksina, mutta lisääkin otetaan vastaan. |

| Erinomainen ja ehdottomasti kannatettava idea. Harkitsin, että tässä voisi käydä koeturnaamassa myös Bridge-Areenan, jonne pääsisi noin 1€/päivä/nenä -hinnalla. Paikalle mahtuisi tarpeen vaatiessa noin satakunta pelaajaa. Selvitän asian ehdotetun viikonlopun osalta. |

| En tiedä tarvitseeko osallistumismaksun suuruus-sijoitus -yhtälöllä motivoida ihmisiä; se kuitenkin syrjii opiskelijoita, työttömiä, jne. |

| Voi asian tietysti noinkin ajatella. Toisaalta. Vielä ei ole asetettu alarajaa ja jos voittaa yhden tai puoli peliä enemmän on edellä vaikka toinen olis maksanut 1000 € ja itse 10 €. |
