Mainittakoon että Toigosta löytyy aivan suora analogia; se oli villi peli-ilta kymmenkunta vuotta, ennen kuin lopulta hakeuduttiin HGK:n huomaan. Kerhoon liittyminen ei suinkaan ollut yksipuoleinen prosessi; myös toigolaisille katsottiin koituvan etua hommasta. Kieltämättä, muitakin analogioita tilanteeseen löytyy, myös Suomen gon historiasta; Tuomen Vesku ja muut asianomaiset varmasti tietävät erinomaisen hyvin mitä tarkoitan. Ne vain ovat vielä erittäin vähemmän mairittelevia kuin mikään esille tullut, joten en ole ottanut niitä esiin.

Toigo ei ollut alussa erityisen tunnettu, mutta kyllä Ruoholahdessa pelattiin torstaisin varsin pitkään viime vuosikymmenellä, jo ennen kuin siellä oli muita kuin Vesku, Zhang ja minä. Kyseinen peli-ilta lopulta nimettiin toigoksi, joka on kokonaan toinen juttu. Mutta tuskin tuohon olisi kannattanut puuttua.

Sunnuntaipeli-iltoja oli pitkään 1990-luvun puolivälin aikoihin Ruoholahdessa. Samaan aikaan ei muistaakseni ollut torstaipeli-iltoja.
