Turnauksen osallistujamäärän kokiessa iskun lauantaiaamuna ja turnauksen perumisen ollessa myöhäistä se päätettiin järjestää kuusikierroksisena, jotta kaikki saisivat yhtä paljon pelejä. Syömässä käytiin Hervannan vesitornilla maisemia samalla katsellen. Kolme viimeistä kierrosta pelattiin Finlaysonin palatsin terassilla. Turnaussysteemi oli käytännössä kaksinkertainen Round robin. Neljännellä kierroksella Yang Bean antoi Markku Jantuselle yhden kiven tasoituksen. Toisaalta Markku Jantunen antoi Ville Lehtolalle yhden kiven enemmän tasoitusta toisessa pelissään tätä vastaan kuin Yang Bean toisessa pelissään Lehtolaa vastaan. Molemmat antoivat ensimmäisissä peleissään Lehtolaa vastaan viisi kiveä ja pelasivat ensimmäisen pelin toisiaan vastaan tasa-avauksella. Jaettu ykkössija siis.
