• Turnaussysteemi: Kuusi kierrosta sveitsiläistä tai McMahon-turnausta, riippuen osallistujien määrästä.
  • Dan-tasoiset parit pelaavat huippuryhmässä. Jos EGF:n jäsenmaasta ei ole dan-tasoista paria, pari, jonka taso on 4 kyu tai vahvempi (ja joka on ko. maan virallinen edustaja) voi pelata huippuryhmässä.
• Säännöt: Japanilaiset säännöt '89 ja Japanese International Pair Go -säännöt.
  • Parin pelaajien tulee olla saman maan kansalaisia.
